Induction Heaters. Capacities range from 3.6 to 100 kVA.
- Custom-made Induction Heaters. For serial
heating of components such as bearings, gear wheels, bushes, rings and
aluminium houses of E-motors, Bega designs and builds custom-made heaters. In
cases where a fast and accurate heating is imperative, these ‘Specials’ offer
surprising solutions. It is possible to integrate them in full automatic
production processes, even with pick-and-place unit. Additional advantage
is the use of low-frequency. Investments are much lower in comparison with

Induction heating is a safe and especially
environmental friendly alternative for traditional heating methods, such as blow
torches, oil baths, ovens. These (expensive) methods produce smoke, fumes and
oil waste and are hazardous to personal safety and working
environment.
FAST AND WITHOUT DAMAGE
Damage during mounting can be avoided when bearings expand
cylindrically by means of heating. Induction heating is a superior heating
method. Pre-heating is not necessary. Depending on their weight, bearings can be
heated up within seconds/minutes, with no loss of
pre-lubrication. BETEX Induction Heaters are versatile and, judged
professionally, can be used to heat gears, shrink rings couplings etc.
AUTOMATIC
CONTROLS
All Bega induction heaters are furnished with a magnetic temperature
probe for real product temperature feedback to the automatic and user-friendly
temperature control system. The automatic control also include a sound signal,
temperature hold and a thermal safeguard.
At the end of the heating cycle
the product is automatically demagnetized.
ERGONOMIC
The special swing-arm construction of the
yokes allow the operator to have both hands free to handle the heated work
pieces. The swing-arm remains on the heater. Safer work piece handling! The
larger units can also be furnished with pneumatic operated yolks.

Saving
money with a standard Betex Giant
A wind turbine manufacturer had out-sourced the
job of mounting costly bearings, including housing, on a blade shaft.
This normally required two days for transport and one day for the job.
With the Betex Giant they were able to heat the 408 kg bearing up to 120°C,
on the spot, within 26 minutes.
In a second situation bearing and housing were heated together. In less
than 1.5 hours the ideal temperature of 120°C was reached. After which
mounting was accomplished within minutes.
Not only did client save a lot of time, the improved quality of heating
ensured that their expensive bearing was not damaged by transport or
uncontrolled heating.

Upgrading
to Large and Extra Large
The standard Betex Giant can be upgraded to Large and
Extra Large.

WHEEL
RING / MONOBLOC HEATER
This
custom-made Wheel ring heater was designed for the Bruxelles'
Underground. Main object of the project was to cut back heating time
from 40 to 20 minutes and to improve the quality of the heating, because
the current blow torch method was causing too much surface damage.
